Featured in our spotlight this month is producing artist Miki Mad from Uruguay. DJ Miguelo as old friends like to call him is currently resided to Barcelona to gear up his musical career which he started in 1991. Playing clubs and festival's for many years throw out his home country , Miki shared his dj booth frequently with artist like long time friend and colleague Fernando Picon, Marcello Castelli, Diego Ro-k among many others. The artist already has a big catalog of releases set out on labels like 69 Street records, Trauman recordings, Surbeats and Cancun recordings. Miki produces mainly techhouse and techno and his tracks are real recommendations for the dancefloor. Belgian producer Stephane K and both Fernando Picon already made remixes of some of his high quality tunes, but also Miki picks up a remix now and then, which is our special feature of today. Miki's remix of Manuel de la Mare "More then a Woman" is currently holding a proud nr 1 position of the Sugar Beet Music label on Beatport. And not at all this success comes as a big surprise. The Copenhagen artist BeSvendsen makes another great release which reveals there is no limit when it comes to good compositions and a unique artistic drive. Mostly producing electro-swing Lasse's formerly released tunes on Acker Records where catched up on in an instand by the audience. His always happy feel grooves and fiddles are utmost appreciated by Cirkus 3000 Grad fans and festival visitors worldwide.

Introduction Japanese Producer Takuya Yamashita is a rising star, who's quality productions did not stay unnoticed. His techno track Daybreak went throw the ceiling in 2012 Beatport charts and is supported and released on Funk D'Void label Outpost Recordings. Takuya made his debut release "Neptune" back in 2008 on the Dutch label Lifeworld. Next to that the artist made several releases on labels as Bass pressure and Espai music. Also notable to mention is that he became runner up at Ken Ishii's 15th anniversairy collaboration contest. Salza: Hi Takuya, thank you for having this chat with us. First of all I want to congratulate you to the massive track “ Daybreak” which has been hitting the Beatport techno charts now for a couple of months. Well Done!! So What is your musical background, Takuya and where did you find your inspiration?
Takuya: At the age of five I had learned to play the piano taught by my mother but I gave up learning soon,because I could not keep still in front of the piano for a long time:-)
At the age of 13 ,I listened to Vivaldi's music that was used as a soundtrack in an animation film.So I was interested in classical music.
In the college days, I studied about Mahler's symphony.During the same period I started to listen and compose techno by a friend's influence. In those days I love English techno,for example 808state,Orbital,The global communication,The Grid,etc.
After college, I moved to Sapporo and started going to the clubs.So I started to listen and compose minimal and Detroit techno.For example Moritz von Ozwald,Surgeon,UR,Jeff Mills and needless to say Funk D'void!
Salza: Yes, you most have had some really nice responses to your music. One big name that is supporting you and you already mentioned is Funk D’void, alias Lars Sandberg,famous for tracks like Diabla and Flealife. Where/how did you guys meet?
Takuya:I got to know Tom Middleton on Myspace.He liked my tracks and played it at his party's.He told his friend Lars about me and the tracks, then Lars supported my tracks! So I asked him to release my most important track 'Daybreak' on his label. I'm glad that one of my techno hero's thinks highly of my tracks! I didn't meet him yet but may have the opportunity to meet with him at his next party in Japan.
Salza: I can image that must all have been a wonderful experiences for you! All artist know how hard work and commitment is essential for any success! I expect you haven’t been a DJ/producer all your life, Takuya. Can you share to our readers what professions did you engage before making music?And why did you choose music/art? Takuya: I usually have a sales job.This job is unrelated to music and art! I have had lot's of troubles with jobs and life. At first I wanted be a musicologist.But it seems that no one can explain the beauty of music in words. So I started to search for beautiful tones.I really want to devote my life to composing, but I can not live with my family only on music yet!.But I feel encouraged by composing, moreover I'm glad that listener feel encouraged by my music!
Salza:That is so nice, thanks you for sharing that with us!So we’ve also been noticing you are quite busy ! Can you tell us something about your latest project, one we definitely need to look out for? Any tours on schedule ?Any interesting collaborations?
Takuya: At first 'Quasar' EP will be released on Espai music at December 12th.
Alsonotable is my second EP on Outpost recordings! It will be released at the beginning of 2013.
Furthermore, I'm not DJ and I don't perform as a live act yet...I don't have enough equipment for live acts but I plan for it to happen in the near future!

Athens based artist Analog Trip (Kosmas Katimertzis, born 1972) officially entered the electronic scene in 1996 on a CD which was circulated 25.000 times by a , for that period well known Dance magazine. Since this success, which included airplay on CoolFm and LifeFm ,Analog Trip was referenced among many Greek artist and invited to play his sets on various dance floors like Plan B, Face the music, Camel Club, Noise, Loop and Muller.In the summer the artist also appeared on Paros, Monastiri, Mezzo Mezzo, Bananas and Cafe Del Mar among others to promote his music. At the early age of 17 the young artist experimented with synthesizers, drumcomputers and vinyl , playing at local bars, and while studying at university a few years later, he became part of an Electro group called VCF, already know for their live gigs at Athens popular clubs Factory, DOM and the Wild Rose. Recently Analog Trip's music appeared on Gravity Recordings, featuring "Galeraki Mykonos Chillout Moods and Grooves", next to "Cafe Caprice", a more atmospheric style but none the less accompanied with his own freestyle/tribal/deep and tech sound. In 2008 Analog Trip created his own recordlabel called Elektrik Dreams Music and released several remixes on labels as Ambiosphere Recordings and Worldwide Exclusive records. Twenty year old DJ/Producer Mark Kavas is alongside Peter Strom,one of two founders of the Swiss Tonspur label. Mark started producing in 2010 , making his Techhouse debut Get up in 2011 on the Swedish 4 Room records. As music is Mark's passion and being influenced by artist like Gui Boratto, Paul Kalkbrenner, Oliver Koletzki and Lexy & K-Paul, Mark will not press himself in just one genre to express his musical feelings. That is why we are very excited to hear more from this artist in the near future. Mark's mixing skills and party vibes can be found on a regular basis on Stromkraft Radio where Mark currently holds a residential position.
After his 2008 release Mango and some remixes in 2009 it has been very quiet for some time around Sascha Funke and I am very exited the reveal a massive release by the artist who found a pretty nice collaborating with musical partner Julliene Dessagne,who is making her debut with the album "Unknown" Together the duo is releasing under the alias Saschienne on Kompakt .
German based Einwandeins alias Patrick Becker has been influenced by electronic music since the early '90, with artist such as Orbital, Underworld,Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug, Gus Gus and many more. Being a DJ and Producer since 2006, Patrick has been playing gigs in different clubs around Frankfurt and is an active event manager with his agency"Groovy Storms" good for more than 150 events a year. Next to that Einwandeins also produces TV show "morgen32" for the German Hessischer rundfunk. Check out his latest release which realy is something else!!:D
Young Belgium based DJ/producer Max Cole is the founder of Exquisse records and a hot DJ around the Brussels area. As a youngster Max was influenced by Punk, Hip Hop and later New Beat, but started playing House and Techno in Norway 1997,which was very populair at the time. Today Max produces his own tracks with a primarily Electro Tech feel but the DJ made his debut in 2006 on Wah Wah 45 with a chill out track Ay Calor which implicates the wide variety of his musical skills and flavours. Israeli producer Guy J has established himself as one of the most sophisticated and emotive producers in electronic music in the past decade. Guy started producing at the age of 14, amassing a wealth of equipment and experience and dedicating his life to becoming a crafts-men.
